Yuzu Pearl Salmon Canapés (No-Cook, 20 Minutes)
Flavour pearls are the entertainer’s cheat code — tiny citrus caviar that bursts on the tongue and makes a two-ingredient canapé look like degustation plating. This is the combination we send people home with most often: salmon, something creamy, and yuzu pearls doing all the talking.
What you need
- 1 jar Yuzu Flavour Pearls
- 200 g cold-smoked salmon
- 150 g crème fraîche (or labneh)
- Blini, cucumber rounds or rye toasts
- Dill and cracked pepper to finish
Method
- Lay out the blini or cucumber rounds and spoon a little crème fraîche onto each.
- Fold a ribbon of smoked salmon on top.
- Finish each canapé with half a teaspoon of yuzu pearls and a frond of dill — the pearls go on last so they stay glossy.
- Serve within the hour, cold.
Same trick, different jars: cucumber & wasabi pearls on oysters, or balsamic pearls over burrata and tomatoes.
