Our Story — From Hubert to Philippe

Hubert Gourmet was founded more than 20 years ago by Hubert — the passionate gastronome who gave the business its name — on a simple belief: Australians shouldn’t have to travel to France to enjoy exceptional gourmet food.

Today, Hubert Gourmet is proudly owned and led by Philippe, who carries that vision forward with the support of our French and Swiss team of gastronomes. Every product we import is tasted, evaluated and selected before it earns a place in our collection.

A small collection, chosen the hard way

We deliberately keep our range small — around 150 carefully selected products — because every tin, jar and pouch must be something we’d proudly serve at our own table. Nothing is listed simply because a supplier offers it: each product earns its place by impressing our team first, and we believe you’ll love it just as much.
