Chocolate Cardamom Milkshake with a Botanical Twist

This is dessert in a glass: full-fat coconut milk and avocado make it silky, cacao and cardamom make it grown-up, and a few drops of Cannanda CB2 Wellness Blend add a subtle, herbaceous terpene note — think of it the way you would a dash of bitters or a scrape of tonka. Start with a drop or two and add to taste.

What you need

  • 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk (or cream)
  • 1/2 medium avocado
  • 1–2 tbsp cacao powder, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Seeds of 1–2 green cardamom pods
  • Pinch of pink salt
  • 1–3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ice, water to loosen
  • A few drops of Cannanda CB2 Wellness Blend, to taste

Method

  1. Blend everything except the ice until completely smooth, loosening with a splash of water.
  2. Add the ice and blend again until thick and frosty.
  3. Taste, adjust the cacao and maple, and pour. Best enjoyed straight away.
