Description
The secret in Organic Sticky Chai Tea is Himalayan honey — black tea and chai spices coated in the real thing, which gives the blend its glossy stickiness and the cup a soft, buttery toffee note.
Brewed, it pours a lovely golden colour: mellow, toasty and naturally sweet enough that sugar never enters the conversation. Cinnamon, star anise, ginger and cardamom do the warming; hints of turmeric, aniseed and vanilla round everything out. Sweet, sticky and — fair warning — gone before you know it.
Three ways we brew it
- Quick cup: a teaspoon in freshly boiled water, three to four minutes
- Softer: the same, finished with a dash of milk
- The full ritual: simmer in water then milk on the stovetop for a creamy sticky chai latte
- Over ice in summer — it takes to cold surprisingly well

Frequently asked questions
What makes sticky chai sticky?
The blend of black tea and whole chai spices is coated in real Himalayan honey — the secret ingredient. The honey adds soft, buttery toffee notes, a mellow toasty character and a lovely golden colour, and it is what makes the cup sweet without any sugar.
How do I make a sticky chai latte at home?
For two serves: simmer a heaped teaspoon per cup with a cup of water for 3–4 minutes, add a cup of milk (dairy, nut, soy or coconut) and simmer another 3–4 minutes, then strain into mugs. Because the blend is honey-coated, the spice oils infuse deeper and no added sugar is needed.
Can I drink sticky chai without milk?
Yes — simply add boiling water to a teaspoon of the mix and infuse for 3–4 minutes for a lighter, honeyed spiced black tea. It can even be served iced.
What spices are in this sticky chai?
Cinnamon, star anise, ginger, cardamom, aniseed, turmeric and peppercorns, with a touch of salt and vanilla — all wrapped around black tea and Himalayan honey.
Who blends this sticky chai?
Seven Seas Tea, the boutique Margaret River producer, blends it locally from teas and spices sourced in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India. It comes in a generous 150g pouch.
