Before migrating to Perth, Hubert has been living in France, Switzerland, Belgium and the United Kingdom. And France particularly, left a strong and concrete impression of culture, conviviality and love of gastronomy.
The relationship between Hubert and Comtesse du Barry started in France 10 years ago. When Hubert first arrived in Australia in 2004, he realised that those exceptional products were not available on the Australian market. This was his inspiration for bringing foie gras, terrines, rillettes, and also traditional French cooked meals from the South West of France.
Hubert and his team of gastronomes have since expanded their collection of gourmet products to include some of Australia’s best artisan foods & beverages, including organic hand crafted teas, gourmet wine crackers and delicious bacon jams, all made with love in Australia.
